Honest Course Review • Updated for 2026
Before you pay $997 for Omari Academy, let’s look at what David Omari promises, what the public reviews report, and the questions you need answered in writing.
Information checked October 10, 2026. Prices, terms, and ratings can change.
Faceless YouTube sounds like the perfect online business. You choose a topic, hire people to make the videos, collect the ad money, and never have to put on makeup for the camera. Baby, if it were always that simple, half the country would be managing ten channels from the couch.
The business model itself is real, but it is not magic and it is not automatically passive. In this updated David Omari and Omari Academy review, I am separating the sales-page promises from the facts a careful buyer should verify.
My Quick Verdict
Proceed with caution. I would not buy this program impulsively or borrow money to join it. The official page describes useful topics, including niche research, team building, scripts, thumbnails, and multiple income streams. However, the high price, final-sale language, mixed public reviews, and the BBB’s current F rating are serious warning signs.
That does not prove the company committed fraud. It does mean you should slow down, read every term, save screenshots, and get the complete price and refund rules in writing before paying.
What Is Omari Academy?
Omari Academy is David Omari’s training program for building faceless YouTube channels. A faceless channel publishes videos without making the owner the on-camera personality. The owner may research topics and hire or use tools for writing, voiceovers, editing, and thumbnails.
According to the official Omari Academy sales page, the program teaches people how to research niches, find video ideas, build a production team, create videos, and earn through ads, affiliate offers, and sponsorships. Those are the seller’s claims. They are not a promise that every customer will make money.
How Much Does Omari Academy Cost?
Please Read This Before Paying
When I checked the official page, it displayed a price of $997, a crossed-out value of $4,997, and language saying the price would increase to $2,497. A public Skool listing also displayed “$997/month.” Because those messages could describe different offers or billing arrangements, ask for the total amount, payment schedule, recurring charges, and cancellation rules in writing.
Even more important: the Omari Academy Terms of Service state that digital-product sales are final and refunds are not offered unless a product’s sales page specifically says otherwise.
What the Seller Says Is Included
| Sales-page feature | What you should verify |
|---|---|
| Step-by-step YouTube automation training | Ask for the current module list, update dates, and length of access. |
| Live channel audits with David Omari | Ask how often they happen, whether David attends each call, and how many students share the call. |
| Live coaching calls with coaches | Ask who the coaches are, their experience, and whether replays are included. |
| Private group chat and community | Ask which platform is used and whether access ends if you stop paying. |
| Phone support | Ask for support hours and the expected response time. |
| Templates, checklists, and AI workflows | Ask to see a detailed list. “AI-powered” can mean many different things. |
Notice what I am doing here: I am not saying those features do not exist. I am saying that a $997 decision deserves details—not just confetti, countdown clocks, and a row of testimonials.
The Real Cost of a Faceless YouTube Channel
The course fee may only be the beginning. Depending on how much work you do yourself, you may also pay for:
- Scriptwriters or AI writing tools
- Voiceover talent or AI voice software
- Video editors
- Thumbnail designers
- Stock video, music, and licensing
- Keyword research and channel tools
- Several test videos before you know whether the niche works
If you do not have money for a team, you become the team. That is not necessarily bad—you can learn valuable skills—but it is a long way from passive income.
Can Faceless or AI-Assisted Videos Be Monetized?
Yes, a faceless channel can qualify for monetization, but hiding your face is not what matters. YouTube says monetized content must provide original value. Generic, repetitive, mass-produced, or template-style videos may not qualify. You can use AI and automation tools, but the finished videos still need your creative direction, useful information, or real entertainment value.
Read YouTube’s current monetization policies before spending money on a system that promises to automate content. A course cannot guarantee YouTube approval, views, subscribers, or revenue.
Public Red Flags You Should Know
BBB Rating
When checked, the Better Business Bureau listed David Omari Social Media Academy LLC as not accredited with an F rating. BBB cited 13 complaints and failure to respond to nine complaints.
Mixed Reviews
The newer Omari Academy Trustpilot profile had a small number of reviews with both strong praise and serious complaints. A small, divided sample does not give me enough confidence to rely on the star score alone.
Final-Sale Terms
The company’s terms say sales are final unless a particular sales page states otherwise. Never depend on a verbal refund promise. Save the exact written policy shown at checkout.
Pressure to Act Fast
The sales page uses “price increasing soon” messaging. A deadline should not rush you past research, budgeting, or reading the contract.
Important: BBB ratings, complaints, and customer reviews are not court findings. Reviews describe individual experiences and may not represent every customer. I am reporting the public record so you can make a more informed decision.
Is David Omari or Omari Academy a Scam?
I cannot responsibly label a person or company a scam based only on reviews and complaints. I did not purchase the current version of the program, and I cannot independently verify every claim from the seller or every allegation from reviewers.
What I can say is that the public warning signs are strong enough for me to recommend extreme caution. The BBB rating, unanswered complaints, final-sale language, price urgency, and extra operating costs make this a high-risk purchase for a beginner—especially someone using rent money, a credit card, or financing.
10 Questions to Ask Before You Buy
- Is $997 a one-time payment, a monthly fee, or the first payment in a larger plan?
- What is the complete price after fees and financing?
- Exactly how long will I have access to the course, community, calls, and support?
- What additional software and outsourcing costs should I budget for during the first 90 days?
- What is the refund policy shown on this exact offer—not an older webinar or a different product?
- What actions, deadlines, or proof are required to qualify for any guarantee?
- Who answers support requests, and what is the written response-time promise?
- Can I speak privately with two current students and view their public channels?
- Who owns the channel, Google account, videos, scripts, thumbnails, and source files?
- How does the training keep channels compliant with YouTube copyright and monetization policies?
Trecia’s Rule
If a salesperson will not answer simple money questions in writing, keep your card in your purse. A real opportunity will still make sense after you sleep on it.
Who Should Probably Skip This?
- Anyone who needs fast or guaranteed income
- Anyone who would have to borrow the purchase price
- Anyone who cannot afford ongoing content-production costs
- Anyone expecting a completely hands-off business from day one
- Anyone uncomfortable with final-sale digital products
Who Might Still Consider It?
A person with business experience, risk capital, time to manage a content team, and a clear written understanding of the agreement may still decide the coaching is worth considering. Even then, compare it with lower-cost YouTube education and test your ability to publish original videos before spending four figures.

Final Thoughts
Faceless YouTube can be a legitimate business model, but a faceless channel still needs a brain, a budget, and somebody doing the work. Omari Academy’s sales page presents an organized path, but the current public record gives buyers good reason to be careful.
My final answer is simple: do not buy from excitement alone. Verify the total price, billing schedule, refund terms, support, and expected production budget in writing. Then compare that full cost with what you can learn and test on your own first.
